EmoHeads

Connecting us to our Emotions

EmoHeads is a 10,000-piece animated NFT collection supporting Mental Health and connecting people through emotions.

Emotions aren’t the easiest thing to talk about. Art helps. A community centered around emotional art is even better.

The EmoHeads art helps holders to express their emotions visibly.

How are you feeling today? Happy, sad, scared, or excited? All of them? Emotions are complicated, and it was important to produce a collection that allowed anyone to relate to them.

The collection has an expansive range of emotions within it. This feelings wheel by Gloria Wilcox was used as inspiration.

@Javirroyo is the founder/creator/artist of EmoHeads and is based in Spain. His genesis NFT project, Talking Heads, evolved into the EmoHeads. His simple yet recognizable style is sure to leave an impression.

The project's co-founder, Diego, and the rest of the team are based in Spain. So if you speak Spanish and are interested in Mental Health in Web3, this might be a perfect project for you.

The project team focused most of its marketing energy on Twitter. Yet, its active community was hungry for community growth. In late September, a community-led Discord server was created! The MHC will work on ensuring that its content and resources get added to it as soon as possible.

Mental Health

Although the EmoHeads team and art are Mental Health focused, they acknowledge they're not mental health professionals. I think they recognize to do otherwise is unethical and potentially dangerous. Instead, they have the help of two professionals as advisors: Luminita Patras (Ph.D. in Organizational Psychologist) & Liliana Arroyo (Ph.D. in Sociology).

These professionals have hosted several Twitter spaces with EmoHeads and continue to serve as advisors.

Before partnering with the MHC, EmoHeads partnered with AvaloApp, a third-party app that also partners with NFT projects and offers free mental health support 24/7. This was a good indicator of the team's devotion to mental health and willingness to collaborate with mental health initiatives.

Emoheads and Cool Cookies (another MHC partner!) participate in a weekly Twitter space with AvaloApp every Friday at 11am EST. All Emoheads and Cool Cookie holders have access to this app 24/7.

Social Impact

EmoHeads partnered with “Open Arms,” a Spanish-based non-profit organization that provides first-aide and sea rescue in the Mediterranean sea and off the coast of Africa.

The project has pledged a lifetime 10% donation of its royalties to Open Arms.

@Javirroyo is committed to other social impact projects as well. He created a book that helped fund the creation of a school in Senegal. Click here for more info on this.

Upcoming Goals

A key goal of EmoHeads is helping its community develop a healthy relationship with technology, addiction, safety, etc. Plans to deliver this are set to be announced soon.

Meanwhile, the team is actively working to spread awareness of EmoHeads and its positive goals at several IRL events.

EmoHeads wants to be a positive example for Mental Health focused NFT projects. Free mint, no discord grinding, open communication, flexible roadmap, and several collaborations with several positive projects (like the MHC).

If you're interested in EmoHeads, check out their Twitter or community-led Discord. An Emoheads NFT can be purchased on OpenSea.

The Mental Health Collective is looking for more positive mental health focused NFT projects (post-mint). Through a partnership, we’ll help expand their mental health support and content for their communities.

If you’re interested or know an ideal NFT project for an MHC partnership, please DM us on Twitter @Web3MHC.
