How to Network on Twitter and in the Blockchain Space with Anxiety

Writer: rileybeansrileybeans

Here's how I've managed to grow without listening to or speaking on Spaces every day

Yes, Spaces are incredibly valuable, but they are also draining, and not all of us can manage them every day or even every week.

While I encourage you to step into that discomfort, you can still succeed without them.

Obviously, this won't be comprehensive because I can't think of or include every situation, but here we go!

  • Find the Champions

  • Look at the Data

  • Twitter Search

  • Community Outreach

  • Read and Write a lot

Find the Champions

When I first started, one thing I did was look for anyone who seemed knowledgeable and tagged often.

They are busy, but they are deliberate.

Sleuthing for who they follow, why, and what value they get from that follow.

Check their likes, retweets, and replies. Hidden gems.

Look at the Data

Next, I would find their wallet and see which communities they are in. This is usually pretty easy, especially with tools like NFT Inspect or just searching OS for their ENS and following the crumbs.

I'd spend time researching those communities to see what's so great

Twitter Search

Learning how to use the Twitter search bar is really powerful, and most people don't know how to use it.

Check out this Twitter thread for everything you need to know.

Community Outreach

Community outreach, as I've previously said, is entirely important, but it's definitely scary at first, especially in a new environment.

Enter a couple of discord communities and literally just lurk. Read what people are saying and take 3-7 days to assess how you feel.

Read and Write a lot

The more you explore, the more information you gather. You'll find articles and podcasts and papers, and YouTube videos. Read and take notes on everything you do.

Begin to create this running notebook of everything you've learned (you'll need this later)

Once you've sufficiently gathered your peers, documentation, and data, you can begin to feel prepared to take on anything in your path.

Knowledge is power, and this is what leads to confidence. You got this

Don't go alone...
