Music & Mental Health

LostBoy is an established 10,000-piece NFT collection primarily centered around music yet delivering a strong mental health component. Lostgirl, their sister project, was released as a supplement to the original collection.
In the NFT space, projects come and go. Lostboy came and stayed! The collection was released eleven months ago and continues offering a long list of utilities to its holders. Lostboy was originally 2D art but was later upgraded. Now, every LostBoy and LostGirl is presented in distinctive 3D art with a dynamic background and a unique eleven-second lo-fi soundtrack produced by @offrami, one of the project’s founders and a talented music producer.
Together with their other founder, @gallops (we love you, Gallops!), the two have built a community that isn’t only welcoming but empowers members to be proud of being lost at times.
Their signature red balloon 🎈 can be taken MANY ways. I see it as a metaphor for beautifully drifting where life takes us, usually up.

Utility
Both founders understand the value of mental health and encourage an uplifting and self-accepting mentality for all community members. Their ethos communicates self-acceptance and that it’s “ok to not be ok.” They provide an uplifting message and creative infographic every few days and have crisis resources listed in their discord.
Besides their readiness to partner with the MHC, they used to host a mental health Twitter space, cleverly named, Lost in Spaces. Their very own meditation app, called the Balloon app, is scheduled for release in the next few months.
@offrami continues to produce music for his community. He’s curated playlists on Spotify, one that only includes LostBoy tracks (that are awesome) and has airdropped music NFTs to many LostBoy holders.

The project has partnered with several augmented reality and metaverse companies like @arloopa, @pixlxyz, and @BYOPills, to onboard newcomers and, more importantly, provide interactive experiences for their community members.
I particularly like their AR partnerships because it pushes LostBoy holders to unplug and reconnect with their physical world in a fun and proactive way.
LostBoy recently announced the release of their much anticipated $Lost token! Staking is also now available.

If you’re interested in joining the LostBoy Community, please check out their recently updated website. In true LostBoy fashion, it looks dope!
The Mental Health Collective is looking for positive mental health focused NFT projects (post-mint). Through a partnership, we’ll help expand their mental health support and content for their communities.
