5 Things NFT Flippers can do to Improve their Mental Health
1. Find your tribe
Humans crave connections with others.
If you don’t take the time to connect and build meaningful relationships, this space can get lonely fast. Finding the people you clique with will give you a sense of belonging, and those same people (if you choose wisely) will help take you places you couldn’t go alone.
The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Don’t go through this journey alone.
2. Stop gambling
Gambling is an addiction that leads to:
depression
migraines
stress
other anxiety-related problems
Instead, become an investor.
Take the time to understand what you’re buying into-DYOR!
Understand your thought process and biases. This will open your eyes to blind spots and lead to better financial decisions.
Remember this:
When gambling, the house always wins
When investing, you have a fighting chance to win and change your life
3. Drown out the noise
It’s hard to know who to listen to in this space. Everyone is shilling their bags without a care in the world for those affected…you’re just collateral damage in their eyes.
If you listen to everyone, your emotions will take control of you, and you’ll end up FOMOing into something and holding the bag.
This is why it’s so important to find your tribe and those you clique with and trust.
Two things to help drown out the noise and recognize the signals.
If you have to unfollow people, so your timeline isn’t as loud, do it.
If you need organization, create specific lists with the people in that category that add value.
Bonus: You can make folders on Discord to stay organized
4. Slow down to speed up
This space moves fast, and we’re all trying to keep up, causing many to burn out and walk away from what might be the biggest opportunity we’ll ever have. By taking small breaks, you’ll increase your mental clarity and energy, giving you what you need to keep up with the pace of the space.
Try this!
Focus intensely on a task for 45–90 minutes. When your timer goes off, spend the next 5–10 minutes going for a walk, stretching, breathing, or meditating, and then repeat.
DON’T use your phone during this time. Your brain needs time to recharge.
You might not think you have that time to spare, but studies prove this to be the most efficient use of time for increased results.
5. Set goals and move with intention
If you don’t know where you’re going or what you’re working towards, you feel a deep void deep inside.
Take some time to establish your goals and an action plan that will get you there. It helps to start with the end in mind & realize the route might change, but the destination stays the same. (READ THAT AGAIN-it’s important to recognize life isn’t a 1-way street)
Once you establish your goals, move with intention.
Before you start a task, ask yourself what’s the goal, what do you want to learn, why do you need to do it, and how are you going to do it. Then set an intention. It will act as your North Star, guiding you to the promised land.
Like most things, this is all easier said than done.
One thing is for sure, though, those who apply these methods will improve their mental health and live a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
