10 Gentle Reminders to Direct Within

Updated: Oct 31, 2022

Do something today, your future self will thank you for.

1. "It's okay to have flaws and imperfections."

We are all human. Make peace with your flaws.

Acknowledging and understanding them gives you strength.

It doesn’t take your power away because, without them, you wouldn't be you.

2. "Your mistakes do not define You."

Our mistakes influence us, but don't let your past define you.

Detach yourself from your thoughts. Take it as a learning experience.

You do not need to identify with your pass.

3. "Appreciate and love yourself just as you are."

Self-love is a state of appreciation.

It means taking care of your own needs and not sacrificing your well-being to please others.

It helps us grow and increases our well-being and happiness.

You are worth loving.

4. "Their rejection does not define your worth."

Be true to yourself instead of trying to fit into another person's narrative.

Knowing your worth is personal. It has nothing to do with anyone else.

Remember, it's okay not to be liked by everyone.

5. "Your emotions are valid."

Every emotion is valid, even the 'bad' ones.

There is nothing wrong with feeling angry, frustrated, disappointed, annoyed, sad, or depressed.

Don't suppress these feelings.

Pause. Reflect. Embrace.

Aim to understand why you are feeling them.

6. "You are doing the best you can, and that's enough."

Start believing in yourself.

Start trusting yourself.

Start giving yourself the benefit of the doubt.

7. "You're learning & growing."

There are infinite opportunities and possibilities if you allow yourself to grow.

We're lifelong learners because life never stops teaching.

We can always do better.

It's You vs. You

8. "Forgive yourself for your wrongdoings."

You did the best you could with what you knew at the time.

Stop self-sabotaging yourself. It's time to stop identifying with your past.

It's now your choice to do better, moving forward.

9. "Become 1% better every day."

Focus on the small habits you can do today to get one step closer to where you want to be tomorrow.

Habits are not a finishing line to cross. It's a lifestyle.

You can change your perspective on life by taking small steps forward.

10. "Perspective shift."

Speak to yourself as you would with someone you love.

Your voice becomes your thoughts and beliefs.

Be gentle and kind with yourself.
