If I dared you to show me a screenshot of your hidden folder, would you?
I often don’t even dare look at mine, as that’s where shame/guilt/regret lives. Emotions I don’t want to get close to (who does?).
We all know it well:
Fear
Of
Missing
Out
It has a rhythm. It starts with a rush, brings refreshing adrenalin and dopamine, and ends with bad decisions and sometimes tears and regret. Have you managed to find a way to keep it under control?
I haven’t, yet. At least not all the time.
My brother and I joke that we need a bot that automatically sends notifications when FOMO appears. Wouldn’t that be handy?
Now, since I doubt we can get one without turning into some kind of cyborg, I thought about how having our own personalized FOMO check system could be handy.
Like texting a friend before you ape into a project, you have not even heard about 2 minutes ago.
Or before clicking buy, take a few minutes to breathe, touch grass, and clarify your goals (booooring and not very degen, I know, but we are trying to reduce the crowdedness of your hidden folder, remember).
Or perhaps writing it down on a massive piece of paper that what goes up will come down — if you miss the first wave of degenning, you can always join in the second or third.
If you have found a solution, please let me know, me and my wallets are open to ideas. Until then, let’s hope you won’t reach a stage where your hidden folder gets full (I’ve heard that’s possible!).
