Why ๐Ÿ™ Octopus?

If you know me, you know I love them. But why?

1. Something cracked open inside of me long ago & Iโ€™ve never been able to stuff it back in. Iโ€™m SO me all of the time that itโ€™s sometimes painful.

The Octopus is like this. They cannot be contained if they donโ€™t want to be.

2. Sometimes, I feel I was born on the wrong planet. I didnโ€™t have a lot of guidance as a child & so I learned to be โ€˜humanโ€™ through observation.

Some believe that octopuses are lone survivors of a previous alien planet. And theyโ€™re so observant, curious & adaptable!

3. Iโ€™ve been studying & practicing the 8 limbs of classical yoga for over 20 years. More than just postures, itโ€™s an ethical code & philosophy for living.

The number 8 represents balance, strength, flexibility, perseverance, & wisdomโ€ฆ and so do our 8-limbed friends, the Octopus.

4. I never knew until I met @CryptoYogi44 that I wanted to be a mom. It turns out itโ€™s my favorite thing in the world. They may not always see it, but my family is my life.

Study octopuses if you want to witness incredibly devoted mothers in nature & be inspired! Haunting.

5. I could go on for DAYS at how clever & playful & endlessly fascinating octopuses (yes, thatโ€™s the proper term, even though Octopi is tempting) are. They exude so many qualities I wish to embody. So many people find them to be scary or creepy, but I am octo-obsessed.

6. Thanks for reading! How do you feel about the blue-blooded cephalopod with 3 hearts, 9 brains & 8 tentacles?
